Trafficpalooza, coming soon to a car near you
"Like many of you, I drive to work every morning, enjoying the majestic mess of I-4 and the pleasant, welcoming snarl of Daytona Beach's colorful construction areas.
Sure I enjoy it. Don't you? Heavy traffic means lots of cars and bored drivers, and that means nonstop entertainment that's better than any concert and wilder than the MTV Music Awards. And it's free! All you need is a steady driving hand and good eyesight."

good grief. i'm glad you're a couple thousand miles away. it just wouldn't do to know someone's watching me belting out styx.

Granted, sometimes the drivers are on their cell phones or chowing down on a sausage biscuit. I treat those cars like commercials, little breaks in the show that display goods and services I might enjoy.

Chris, man, I adore you. Platonically, of course, but it is adoration.

The other day some guy was staring at me while I rocked out in my car. I hated that guy. Was it you?

Depends. Was he glaring, or was he screaming and jumping up and down and trying to throw a beach ball around his car?

No, he was just glaring at me. Kinda freaked me out though. Great essay, really hit home. It makes me wonder how many other people I've been performing for.

Congrats on maintaining a consistantly high level of humor in your columns, Chris. I think I could write a couple of funny columns. But I don't think I could keep it up week after week. I'm envious. [Hat]

I should mention that people singing in convertibles don't interest me. Bloody exhibitionists.

HOW DARE YOU!!!

Catching my expensive and highly staged perfomances for free. Did you buy a ticket? No. Did you pay Royalties? No. How is a poor performance artist to survive with you, peeping Toms getting all this great entertainment for free.

I demand my ASCAP percentage.

I am placing a quarter slot on the side of my car that, when used, de-tint's the windows and allows you to see the show.

Until then, well, the Lawyers are on their way.

PS.

Great article. Loved it.

*waaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!*

It's Wednesday and my internet isn't working right! I can't get Chris' column.

Dangit.

I love Wednesday, but I hate *this* Wednesday.

*sniffle*
