linky.

[ROFL]

Kristine or Kathryn must have written this. It was both very cool, and hilarious! I can't wait to see OSC talking person now! [Big Grin] [Laugh] [Big Grin]

OSC still has no idea what the Hebrew letters say, but they assured him that it was really funny.
[Dont Know] I have no idea what they say either, but I was thinking there should be someone on hatrack who knows [Dont Know]

I know. And it's really not all that funny. [Smile]

Not telling us is just mean Rivka. Just like if I didn't tell you you had a big spider on your head, that would be mean.

I was waiting for someone to ask nicely. [Big Grin]

Or just figure it out, since the Hebrew, with its English equivalent, shows up in an earlier pic.

C'mon, what do you expect the podium in a hotel ballroom to say?

Ohh, I guess then it isn't that funny. Thanks Rivka! [Group Hug]

See, the funny Hebrew is in the pic with the book covers.

I still haven't figured out what 'KiSeNoSa"D' means. And while "tzel" means shadow, it took me awhile to decode "hegemon" in Hebrew. [Big Grin]

Of course, that's not as funny as posting after, before.

Or is that before, after?

Whoa--Eastern Standard Time is giving me a rush! [Party]

I didn't know OSC wrote the insults for Monkey Island...

that just proves...OSC is the coolest.

And I still don't know what the podium says. Is it taken from the book titles?

Is it "Cinemateque Tel Aviv" ?

Is Hebrew read from right to left like Arabic?

It says "Tel Aviv Cinematheque" (technically "Cinematheque Tel Aviv")

I have no idea how that is even vaugely funny.

Yes, ak, Hebrew is read right to left.

I dunno, GS, it got people here all worked up -- that's kinda funny. [Evil]

Yeah, I think it's funny that they told him it was funny.

I think that 'KiSeNoSa"D' is Xenocide. That took me a while too.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Of course. Thanks, GS, that was bugging me! [Smile]

not only is it read left to right, but also bottom to top. so a paragraph looks upside-down in it's alignment.

*blinks* Hebrew is not read bottom-to-top, muppet.
