Well, I was excited when I saw this, and I'm working on it right now, but I thought I'd pass the lovin' on for anyone else who needs this book to be done as much as I do [Smile]

Whew! Good thing that sentence is over.

Ooh! Thanks!! [Smile] [Smile] [Smile]

(Too late to read it tonight, but tomorrow...)

From www.georgerrmartin.com

quote:
Yesterday I finished another chapter, the thirty-second (though I do move these chapters around from time to time, so it probably won't be the thirty-second when FEAST is finally published). It's an Alayne chapter, and with it in place, I now have 738 manuscript pages in something very close to final draft form. I also have four or five additional chapters, roughly another 100 pages, that are close to completion, and then maybe another 100 to 200 pages of fragmentary chapters, scenes, lines, and notes, some of which will wind up in FEAST, some of which may be pushed into the next volume, of some of which will likely be scrapped. So that's where I am right now.

No, I can't tell you when A FEAST FOR CROWS will be finished, or when it will be published. Not yet. When I know, I'll tell you.

No! No! Bad Carrie! You know if people read one chapter, they'll be salivating for the next half-year.

Now look what you did! Rub your nose in it! Bad Carrie!

This is great news, but I refuse to read any of it until I have the thing in my hands. I already spoiled myself too much from the summaries of chapters he read at various conventions over at the ezboard site.

I hope this means I wont have to wait too long. It sounds like he is very close to being done [Smile] .

I don't know. He has a total of what, 700-900 pages? That'd be a significant fall in size from his last novel; and all three novels have grown progressively larger from A Game Of Thrones. Personally, I'm hoping he takes as much time as he needs to in order to extend the book to 1300-1500 pages. No matter how much I may suffer myself in the meantime.

I read it and now I regret it. Stupid me, now I can't handle the waiting.
