How do 5th-graders interpret Radiohead?

Never heard of Radiohead before.

How's that rock treatin' ya?

As the only musician on the planet who has never listened to Radiohead (except for hearing "Creep" on the radio once) I found that very entertaining. Thanks!

Huh. That was weird. Radiohead is definitely not fifth-grader music. I wonder what they were really trying to prove.

As a devout Radiohead fan, I still haven't been exposed to most of the criticism or hype that surrounds Radiohead. I visit fan sites occasionally, but I rarely read third-party reviews. I don't get Rolling Stone. I'd say I have a fairly uncolored opinion of the music, by this guy's measurement. Really, I only listen to the music. I couldn't care less about the lives of the band members or how many albums they're selling (unless any of that leads to the band breaking up, in which case I'd be bummed). I've resisted searching out all the reviews and critiques, because I want to persist in believing that Radiohead is the music industry's best kept secret only enjoyed by an elite and lucky few.

Wow. Yeah, that's definitely an illusion. They certainly don't get on the radio very often, but I have yet to meet a musician in my age group who doesn't either love them or hate them.
