How often does a song bring an image into your head that has nothing to do with the song itself? For example, today as I was driving back to the office after lunch, the song "Send Me An Angel," by Thrice, came on the radio. For some reason--most likely the large number of movies I saw in the 80's--that song always makes me think of a film montage of either a group of teens working feverishly to complete a project or some sort of athlete intensely working out in order to prepare for an upcoming competition.

*lol*

This is the kind of 80's soundtrack music that I've always referred to as the "Fatcamp Song". It's the part of the movie where the fat kids in fat camp start really dedicating themselves to their weight loss. It's also the part of any movie where newspaper clippings are likely to float across the screen to inform the viewer, in short form, what the main character has done as a result of their really hard efforts.

The Fatcamp song.

'Arials' makes me think of a city as an organism. Streets as blood vessels, the people as her cells unconsciously doing her bidding. Wires as nerves. Arials as some kind of cilia.
