We've always talked about putting together an album of all the hatrack folks online. My boyfriend gave me space and access to his photo gallery. Also, how it works is that it automatically uploads the pictures you all send me, and trashes the email. This is all being done from Denmark off of my boyfriends computer.

Grr... Okay, my parents found out I was putting my photo on the album and said they had to "talk about it." Problem is, Dad is in Ireland visiting my grandparents and other relatives. Hence, Mom and Dad can't "talk about it" for two weeks. It's not a bandwidth issue; the site simply doesn't allow you to pass through using a link from another page directly to an image (to prevent people from posting hundreds of pictures but not maintaining actual pages -- pages with ads.)
You can get around the restriction by copying the URL into another browser window directly, not clicking on it.

A very lucky minority has met OSC in person. Unfortunately, OSC usually sticks to the east coast when he goes on signing campaigns. What about Northern California? There is nearly 500,000 people in Sacramento County (the county I live in). I'm beginning to feel neglected... jk I understand he's a busy man, but I want to eventually be able to fly somewhere without my parent's permission so I can meet all you people and of course OSC himself. I do in fact have all the photos now. My server was up as of Friday, but I was busy all weekend with the visiting gang, and barely had time to sleep let alone upload pictures. I'm going to redo the jatraqueros section so people with multiple pictures will have a sub-album within. It looks like a few of you have already noticed the new format in the jatraquero album. I gave each person a sub-album so the main album is less cluttered. I went ahead and alphabatized the whole thing to make it easier to find your way around. Also added was a "hot or not" section...ok, not really, but I think the changes are very cool and handy anyway, so go look.
We are still giving out free user albums for the next couple months. Some hatrackers already own one, and I've attached the link under their names in the jataquero albums. Get em' while you can!

I'd second aka's vote. I do appreciate all the work you've done, (and the server space you provide) and on paper it seems like a good idea, but in practice it's a bit of a pain. If you provided a link with each announcement that there were new pictures that would probably take care of it, but of course that would be a little more work for you.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, but I think I will keep it the way it is. Several hatrackers have told me they like that earlier uploaded photos are much easier to reference now. The jatraquero album is only 3 pages long now, and is alphabatized making it pretty easy to navigate through. I'll try to post a link to direct photos as I get them in to make it easier for you.

Chaeron, foobonic automatically resizes every image that is uploaded. Every photo is turned into a thumbnail. After clicking on the thumb, you get the photo at a reasonable viewing size. If you click again, you get the photo at the size you uploaded. Upload whatever size photo you want to. It's not a problem.

Foobonic says sorry. He's been playing around behind the scenes and broke something. In the next month or so, due to him reaching 10K photos, Andre will be adding functions to the site. This will cause the site to be down 5-10 minutes at a time. He wants to do this slowly as to keep his users happy. The site should be back up in a half hour.

On the upper right-had of the page, you will see a login button. Hit that and login with the username:hatrack, password:hatrack. You should see a sub-album on this page called 'dump'. Go ahead and enter that album, and upload whichever pictures you want to. I'll go in it daily and put the photos in the appropriate place.

I think it would help if you smiled and had sparkles in your eyes. Then I could make a better judgement. You look too serious in both pix. And the angle is very odd. Most people don't look at you from underneath your chin.
But in general, you are a rather handsome person and you should do what you like. The aforementioned smiles and eye sparkles should do the trick on whatever female you like.

sandy did a great job admin'ing the hatrack album. ive spent the past couple weeks working on a 10krelease (whole new look and feel), which has made me so detached from the fruits of our labor.
so when you send images (SEND MORE, I LOVE UM) please send me at least a URL, the more info the better.
gimmie a few weeks and ill have everything on lock down.
on that note... when we hit ~10,000 photos im going to release the large update/redesign i've been mentioning.
by far, the 10krelease is "so worth it". =)

I've put up the pictures I've created so far with photoshop up on my site. They're really kind of bad but I figured if I had an official side ("official" ) maybe I'd step it up and start creating some good stuff...
What are we limited to when we create a url (what has to be in there)? Just "www.foobonic.com"?

I wanted to share some pictures with you guys...not necessarily to upload to the album, but just because I think they're funny. I was in an opera this weekend with the Bel Canto Northwest vocal institute. It's a Mozart comedy and we had a blast!! So much fun. I'm the tall one in the rose colored blouse with all that curly hair.
Our cousin Susie Hansen, a Jazz-Salsa musician, teaches a lesson in John's class about synchopated rhythm. I mention Susie because I recently found out that she is a HUGE OSC fan and would like to be at our next So Cal gathering.
I'm trying to tempt her into posting at Hatrack.

Ok, I'm here to shamelessly plug my album. I have just added some new photos, including shots from my trip to a place so remote, the only way in was by float plane. Those shots are in my Spruce Lake gallery. I also have a shot I took of the Northern Lights. It's nothing special, but it's something.

filetted, take a look at the first three pictures, I show the route we took up. I drew a line on the pictures to show how we climbed up to the ridge, and the route we took from there. There is nothing like a lift anywhere near where we were. There isn't even a road. Our campsite is accessible only by float plane or a 6 hour hike, nearly all uphill. Us, we took our bikes. From our campsite at 4500', it is a long way to the top of Sheeba, at about 9000'. There isn't a trail or anything, so it was alot of bushwhacking until we reached the treeline at around 6000'. Once we reached the treeline, it was a scramble up two very steep scree fields for about 1500', then the alpine meadows along the ridge were pretty easy going for about 1000' vertical. The last ascent, as you can no doubt see is a fairly technical climb to the top of the closer of the two rock spires. One lesson learned: biking cleats make good climbing shoes.

Oh, right, where was I? Location, right. Well, if you are familiar with the geography of BC, I was in the southern Chilcotin. If you aren't, the Chilcotin is about 150 miles north of Vancouver. Take a look on a map if you are confused. Spruce Lake is a tiny, less than one mile long lake straddling the Chilcotin and Coast mountain ranges. One of the coolest features of the landscape there is the contrast between the two ranges. The Coast Range is all intrusive igneous rock and extinct volcanoes. The Chilcotin on the other hand, is uplifted sedimentary.

Hey! Annie read the old Oz books(or at least has them in her bookcase)! And some of them look like they're in their original covers! Those books were the coolest when I was growing up. 'Course, then I learned that The Wizard of Oz was just an allegory for the economy, with the moral being that we should switch from the gold standard to the silver standard. That kinda spoiled things. But still, really fun books! I still use the abbreviation Dorothy did for suppose (s'pose) when I write...

Yeah, my grandparents gave me their original copies of The Land of Oz, Ozma of Oz, Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz, and The Road to Oz when I turned 16. They are my favorites of all time. I've since acquired nice copies (but not antiques) of The Patchwork Girl of Oz and Tik Tok of Oz. Some day when I'm rich and famous, I'll have all 13.

I was on chat last week when I first saw pH's pics that were just put up. pH was complaining that she couldn't get some hot guy to go for her, and then she showed us her pics and we started a brief debate about the color of her eyes. Some people got bored and left the chat when they realized it was yet another hot woman trolling for compliments...like they don't have enough advantages in the real world, they have to go online spreading pictures taking precious attention away from us normal (okay, maybe a bit freakish) looking people... ththththtbbbbbthththphphphp!

I owe an official apology to Raia and Magson.
I didn't realize how long I had let this foobonic thing go until I saw the pics Raia had asked me to upload. She's gorgeous and in her prom dress. Prom HAD to have been two months ago, at least. I've let it go for that long. :/
I'm so sorry, guys, 'bout being such a big loser. To add to that, Foobonic has a glitch right now that doesn't allow me to move albums. So, I'm uploading your pics and creating albums, but for a little while they'll be out of alphabetical order.
Thank you so much for sending them, though. I'm not ungrateful, just lazy. I promise.

And maybe the problem is I'm pronouncing Raia's name wrong. I've been pronouncing it "ray-uh", which doesn't need too much of a twist to sound like "Rita". Heck, my subconsience did it all by itself.

My little sister, freshly married, has decided that February would be a good time for me to become an Uncle. She had planned on waiting a couple years, but we all knew better. My cousin won the pool--unfortunately, I had my money on the last week in January.
I feel so old.
She made me trim my beard for the wedding, so my new Christ-like look is missing from the pic--but still, a very shaggy Frisco messing up a perfectly good picture.
