I don't know if there is any interest but on November 19 there will be a new Tinker Bell film on the Disney channel.
I read Peter Pan but I had no particular love for Tinker Bell and the Disney version was little more than a corporate shill, their second mascot, I was not interested. When I heard they were releasing a direct-to-DVD film I just groaned.
But my wife said it was good and produced by John Lassiter of Pixar, so I watched it, and sure enough, it was good!
I got my daughter interested in Transformers and now she's gotten me interested in Disney Fairies... if anyone else here is interested, I made a fan page. Still a work in progress.
If you haven't seen the three previous films but dismiss them for being Disney direct-to-video schlock, then you are missing out. The music and visuals are beautiful, and there is actual characterization that warrants repeated viewings.
I'd put Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure especially up alongside many of the Pixar films in terms of quality.

Little known fact, my grandmother is Tinkerbell...well, not the fictional character, but the original model for Disney...she was interviewed on the 50th (?) special anniversary version of Peter Pan. Her website is TinkerbellTalks.com in case anyone is interested.

That's pretty cool! By the way, her website has a lot of broken links... let me know if she wants any help in repairing that.
