HE LIVES IN A $1.4 MILLION HOUSE OBTAINED THROUGH A DEAL WITH A WEALTHY FUNDRAISER. HOW?

HE 'WORKED' AS A CIVIL RIGHTS ACTIVIST IN CHICAGO . HE HAS NEVER HELD A PRODUCTIVE JOB OR RECEIVED A PAY CHECK THAT WAS NOT GOVERNMENT-FUNDED AND/OR TAXPAYER SUPPORTED.

THE PRESIDENCY IS NOT A CIVIL RIGHTS POSITION, NOR IS IT SUBJECT TO AFFIRMATIVE ACTION SET ASIDES; ON-THE-JOB TRAINING WON'T CUT IT.

HE ENTERED POLITICS AT THE STATE LEVEL AND THEN THE NATIONAL LEVEL WHERE HE HAS MINIMAL EXPERIENCE.

HE IS PROUD OF HIS 'AFRICAN HERITAGE' (A FATHER WHO GOT A WHITE GIRL PREGNANT AND DESERTED HER).

WHERE IS THE PRIDE IN HIS 'WHITE HERITAGE'? (A MOTHER WHO FLAUNTED CONVENTION AND DID NOT BELIEVE IN GOD).

SOME MIGHT THINK THERE WAS NOT MUCH TO BE PROUD OF EITHER WAY.

HE BELONGS, AND HAS BELONGED FOR OVER 20 YEARS, TO AN 'AFRO-CENTRIC' CHURCH IN CHICAGO THAT HATES WHITES, HATES JEWS, AND BLAMES AMERICA FOR ALL THE WORLD'S PERCEIVED FAULTS. (INCLUDING CREATING THE AIDs VIRUS IN ORDER TO INFLICT IT ON AFRICANS).

DURING HIS VERY BRIEF TIME IN THE UNITED STATES SENATE, HE HAS MANAGED TO AMASS THE NUMBER ONE ULTRA LIBERAL VOTING RECORD OUT OF THE ONE HUNDRED MEMBERS.

HE HAS VOTED CONSISTENTLY FOR BIGGER GOVERNMENT AND HIGHER TAXES. HE HAS VOTED FOR BIG ENTITLEMENTS AND LEGISLATION THAT WOULD SEVERELY CURTAIL AMERICA 'S ABILITY TO FIGHT TERRORISM AND TO PROTECT OUR BORDERS AND OUR NATIONAL INTERESTS AROUND THE WORLD.

BUT, HE IS A GOOD ORATOR. ISN'T THAT A COMFORT?

YEAH, I THINK I SEE HOW WELL HE COULD UNITE THE COUNTRY.

I THINK THE TRUTH IS THAT HE HOPES NO ONE WILL PUT THE PIECES TOGETHER.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO OUR NEW CHIEF PILOT.HE HAS NEVER FLOWN AN AIRPLANE, IN FACT HE HAS NEVER EVEN SAT IN THE COCKPIT, BUT HE SAYS HE HAS RIDDEN ON PLANES BEFORE. WE ARE SURE HE WILL GUIDE US SAFELY THROUGH THE STORMS WE MAY ENCOUNTER ON THIS FLIGHT.

If you don't want to vote for Senator Obama because you disagree with his stance on Abortion, his views on the economy, or because of the service and record of Senator McCain, then I would applaud your informed choice. I may disagree, but that is what a democracy is all about.

But don't vote based on lies.

"Thou Shall Not Bear False Witness". How many good Christians have been seduced into breaking that commandment in the name of politics? That sin is very prominent in the Bible, more so than even homosexuality, yet we have no mass rallies to demand our elected representative stop the lies and the "False Witnessing" they propagate under the name of spin, and thats what the email I received was.

It was lies. It was fear mongering.

It questions Senator Obama's family, hinting that its just another black deadbeat dad ruins another white-trash girl story. Dipping into scarey racial stereotypes is beneath us. Do these stories really scare anyone into voting differently? Is the lie, the sin, worth it?

It questions where he got all the money to go to college and buy his house. Snopes.com and Factcheck.org both show how he earned scholarships, took out loans, and worked summer jobs to pay his way through. They 1.6 million dollar house was paid for, and his loans were paid off, from royalties he got from his best selling books. No deals with lobbyists. His wife works as a professor, did not inherit money. Why does this email imply that they were some couple of deadbeat welfare babies who had all this handed to them with our hard earned tax dollars? Because they are "Bearing False Witness". The creator of it is liing, sinning, and trying to scare you.

I could go on, line for line of this disgusting trip down racist stereotypes that is the email, but I won't. It all boils down to the simplist difference between what Senator Obama offers, and what backers of this email are selling.

The e-mail calls it "Oratory" and laughs it off.

Its not the oratory, its what's behind it.

Senator Obama is offering hope.

Now hope is not an answer to the problems we face. Hope is not the cure and the security that we need from a President.

But it is 10,000 times better, more powerful, and more worthy than what this email is selling--and that is FEAR.

It, and the others like it that fill our in-boxes and blast our AM radio, is dangerous, destructive, and not an answer either. Fear is the tool of the dictator and the terrorist and all enemies of democracy. Fear makes us weak. Hope makes us strong.

And lies, to promote either, are wrong.

One final note.

Unlike the author of the email below, I am not so ashamed of my email that I refuse to put my name on it.
