In New Zealand we're about halfway through the latest '24' (Edgar, Tony Almeda and Lynn have just died), so I know this post is at best redundant and at worst irrelevant, but I HAVE to say what a great show this is, and in particular what a great job the writers have done with the part of President Logan. They really have nailed the character: a good man who wants to do the right thing but is so hopelessly weak that he doesn't know how to do it, or even some of the time what it is. One minute you want to slap him as a spineless weasel, the next you feel sorry for the good man out of his depth. He could so easily have been a caricature but they've avoided that so cleverly. A GREAT job of conveying the character by the actor too, whoever he is. As hopelessly out of date as this post is, what I've said may have already been discussed at length, but as I've had to studiously avoid the 24 threads (along with the Lost and American Idol ones) I plead ignorance.

Ooof. I also avoid 24 threads because I'm only in season 3...and I thought I might be safe reading yours, but Tony Almeida dies? Wah. It's no secret that all characters are not safe and so I wondered how he was even going to get out of prison...no biggie.
I also LOVE the show, just caught on too late!
Edit to add: Actually I just realized I just started season 4.

But isn't it a great show? For some mad reason I didn't watch season 2, so have to buy the dvds sometime and watch. It's the best thing on tv, by a mile.

Strangely enough, I just saw 24 last night for the first time when I rented the first four episodes of what I think is season 4 and watched them all. It was pretty good. I'm kind of pissed that I can't watch the rest of the season now and find out how everything turns out, though. I enjoyed the first four though.
