I wa splaying Starwars Battlefront II and my computer turned off, wouldnt turn back on and I smell smoke from the power supply. Grr. It was a 350W and I just put in a new ATI X850XT video card.

How much would a new powersupply cost and what wattage should it be?

It's always worth the money to get a better PSU. How many optical/IDE/SATA drives are you running currently?

Blayne, if it's been removed once, don't you think it would be polite to not use it again?

And there are plenty of adults who find the term offensive. Just because kids might not know what it means does not mean it's necessarily appropriate language for this forum.

hmm, well 1 for the video card, 1 for the HD, 1 for the floppy and one for the MOBO, aaaaand one for the CD/DVD-/+RW ROM drive, and one for the 80mm fan I put in meself. After that there should now be a bunch of unused ones.

Whats remaining now is to upgrade my ram from the ripoff 266mhz 1.0 GB ram to 433MHz 1.0 GB ram cuz' my computer is now actually running slower because of it. Originally when my parents bought my computer it had 512MB of 433mhz RAM but for 7$ more said they'ld double it to 1 GB. They ripped us off by halving its speed still.

List of Why to never buy fo MDG:

-They give you only cheap stripped down lowgrade Video Cards (X300 Sapphire Radeon "SE" (does not mean special edition means sh*tty edition IMHO)) for 200 dollars and saying its high end.

-They give you only a poor quality C class Power supply

-They will find ways to screw you, example my DVD drive was black incontrast to my white case they replaced it but I found that my current DVD burning software for some inexplicible reason got changed and I could nolonger burn AVI's onto dvds. I asked for them to change it back and thankfully they did.

-They will give you crappy ram

-They stole 700$ from us, bill says 1600$ we paid 2300$ where did 700$ goto?? [Confused] [Mad]

-The MOBO is older and crappier missing stuff.

Thats all I can currently think of for now but they said our machine was top-of-the-line and yet it was already a year old (the design) when they sold it to us. hmm....
