Lately, I've spent an average of at least four hours a day on Hatrack. At the same time, I'm woefully ignoring my classes and other responsibilities. So I've decided that I need to leave. When it comes to studying versus reading Hatrack, Hatrack seems to win every time. I'll probably be back after finals (early December). But for now I need to go and be responsible. I'm posting this because I know I'm a lot more likely to honor this promise if I make it public.
So goodbye for now Hatrack, I will miss you!

I'm not having that problem yet. Give me a couple of weeks and I'll be waving goodbye, and then forgetting I told myself to leave for awhile. Good luck with school, Amanecer.

Aren't you the one who got the A on that first paper, compared to me, Mr. B-? Now who really needs to study for classes instead of playing around on the internet?

All power to you. I've been telling myself for years that I need to do the same, but for good.

Well, to be honest, I cheated some. The first several weeks, I was really good about it. But I have real life friends who also post on hatrack, and something would come up in conversation so I'd just look at that one thread. And once there, I might see another thread or two that caught my eye. For the most part though, I was pretty good about staying off of hatrack. I checked a few other forums every once in a while and read a lot of yahoo news. Other than that, I think I actually studied more and since that was the point, yay!
