I just finished watching the movie, and I get that feeling in my gut that makes me want to cry. So what do I do? I whip out the soundtrack and start pouring. The music makes me think of so many things, like the feeling I want to express that made me choose animating as my career. I feel so much at peace with me right now. But I am also reminded of how much I wish I had a boyfriend. I have never really loved anyone and I guess I am just eager to meet someone.

I do love that movie and also seem to want a boyfriend...
I think...
I am trying to cure myself of romanticism.

Edward Scissorhands... The movie is fantastic but the soundtrack is even better. Danny Elfman has scored dozens of movies but Edward Scissorhands is his best. He captures the pain, beauty and wonder of the movie perfectly. Ice Dance and the opening credits are one of those rare peices that I never skip when it pops up in my mp3 rotation.

I'm a hopeless romantic too... (but I'm looking for neither a boyfriend nor a girlfriend =)

Oh, as an aside, if you like Edward Scissorhands, try "Nightmare Before Christmas". Danny Elfman not only wrote the music but sang Jack Skellington. (someone else did the speaking voice.) It's not as romantic though.

I'm pretty sure she's seen it. How could you not have?
It's the best movie ever. And Corpse Bride is coming out soon! Yipppe!

BTW, if you really like the music you might like Danny Elfman's old band (broke up in 96 *sob*)
Oingo Boingo. They are awesome.

And if you're terribly curious, be sure to check out the soundtrack to Forbidden Zone. Until I listened to that score, I always wondered where the theme for the Dilbert TV show came from.

Danny Elfman has the most *amazing* voice.

*swoons*

Funny, he doesn't look to me at all like he sounds, if you know what I mean.

Yeah, he looks.. umm... well, let's say he's not as handsome as I pictured him when I finally saw his face...

That and don't let him speak. For a musical genius he's a pathetic public speaker.

Never the less, I'll second that *swoon* =)
