Please let me be clear about our President, George W. Bush, I wish him no ill will, I think he is a good father, and his wife is my favorite 1st lady of all time, but I think he is a lousy president who is doing damage to our country and our world that will take hundreds of years to repair.

Though it seems like when I point out things like his top 3 donors:

#1 - CitiGroup - who is now paying a $2 billion dollar fine for defrauding it's investors.

#2 Exxon/Mobil - an Oil conglomorate

#3 Wal-Mart - who has Imperial power and shady practices

...People say I hate the man and hate everything he stands for. This is not true. I do not hate him. I don't even dislike him, I just think he's really bad at his job, and refuse to think of him as some great Christian speaker.

People who support George W. Bush with great faith like to paint someone like me as a man who...

1) Doesn't believe in God, Hates religion, and is anti-Christianity.

I will hold long and good faith in the Lord, Our God, The Great One, The Magical Architect, The Wonderous Father and Mother.

I do not hate religion, but I do believe modern religion has become more a corporation and less church, and can become a middle man stumbling block between man and God. Religion has power to be more corrupted than any single man.

I love Jesus Christ. I believe Jesus was the greatest man to walk the Earth and is the Greatest Son of God.

In a time where politicians and CEO's are giving us Christianity based on the Ten Commandments, I concentrate on my faith, that the Two Laws Jesus gives us are the highest laws in the land.

Love God above all else, and Love your neighbor as your brother.

We are all the children of God.
We are all one family.

And...

We now live in a time where mass media is a
dragon, government is a beast, and the economy is all four horsemen.

There is war on all four corners of the Earth.

So for my faith in Jesus to be connected to my Faith in the President, there must a been a large trick pulled.

2) Those who disagree with our President are anti-american.

I am and always will be an American. Born here, Raised here, and much traveled here. This country has been very good to me, but this country has also been very bad to me. I love this country but I do not by any means grant it some sacred sainthood. America kept slaves in the name of Freedom, Committed genocide in the name of Glory, and has amassed the largest world wealth and military machine in the name of God.

As a Christian, my nationalism can only run so deep. To think that I am anti-american becuase I am anti-war is absurd.

3) those who oppose the President oppose family values.

Oh man, this one gets me every time. I don't even know how to fully respond, because to fully respond would take pages, and pages, and pages, and pages.

I see many, many, many of the problems that have sunk our nation into great tribulation, and the solutions are very complicated, and very hard.

Those who accuse me of being anti-family values, offer very small bumper sticker solutions, solutions less than band-aids for severed limbs.

We have a long, long list of ills that tax our people spirits, minds and bodies.

We need a whole new way, a whole new system.

We must get beyond our period of hating our neighbor, and reach a point of enlightenment.

We must become greater than we ever dreamed as a group, as a family.

Find me a man without sin, and I will declare him King.

Until that man arrives, we must start creating and being leaders who have great ideas that will benefit all of mankind for the sake of goodness and justice.

I am a son of God, and I want a better life for myself, my family, and all of you, sons and daughters of God.

We must find a better way.

I respect most of what you said in your post. If you don't mind, let me pick a nit that really bugged me when I read it:

quote:
#2 Exxon/Mobil - an Oil conglomorate
You say that as though this is an evil thing, lumping it in with "defrauding it's investors" and "Imperial power and shady practices". Unless you have given up gasoline and petrochemicals as well as all products created/transported with gasoline or petrochemicals, it doesn't seem fair to paint the entire idustry as evil just because of what industry it is.

My point about the Oil Conglomorate is that right now Oil is a WORLD problem, and that we as Americans for the benefit of ourselves and others REALLY REALLY REALLY need to be finding a better, cleaner form of Energy.

If the President's #2 investor is the world's #1 oil giant, there is a great conflict of interests.

Of the People, For the People, by the People.

Is Citibank, Exxon/Mobil, or Wal-Mart - PRo-People first?

Or are they Pro-Profit First, and Pro-People as much as the law allows?

We must change the system.

We cannot allow unchecked corporate dollars to rule our government.

Cheers, Thor. You're exactly right. Those are the same problems that I have with Bush coupled with this War in Iraq and so many other issues.
The system has to shift and Bush represents a system taht should be obsolete.

::looks for a political choice who doesn't take campaign donations from those listed above, doesn't find one, and continues believing all politics are equally corrupt::
