For a few days this month, I thought I lived in Idaho. You know, high desert, not too much rain during the middle of the year. Then, for some inexplicable reason, it began raining. Okay, I thought. Rain is a good thing. I like rain, and it's nice to have an actual thunderstorm around here. But, it hasn't stopped raining yet. And for some other inexplicable reason, I now have a small puddle forming in the middle of my room. No, not next to the wall. In the middle of my room. I live on the bottom floor of a two floor apartment complex. Aparently, when this building was built in the 70's, they didn't expect it to rain an inch more than the average at any time of the year. Nor did they expect that ammount of rain to occur within a period of two weeks. Yeah. I now know what Seattle is like (Minus the slugs of course).

I think we're done with the rain for awhile here in inland Central California. Anyway, that's what the forecasters are saying. Probably a good thing, since we've had freakishly high amounts of rain this year, and it has rained way late into the year. Not good for the crops at all. Of course, the downside is that it's going to get hot now.

It's been acting more like monsoon weather here the last few days. A few nights ago, it rained all night long, which, since this is Sri Lanka we're talking about, resulted in power outages about four or five times that night. I, on CPAP, noticed when I stopped breathing. [Roll Eyes] Today, it rained a total of a few hours so far.

I love it when it rains. It means it'll be cooler.

I hate it when it rains. It means that Fahim will postphone grocery shopping as much as he can get away with.

I hate it when it rains. Four or five days later, we have massive quantities of mosquitoes.

I love it when it rains. Everything grows and looks green.

I love it when it rains. It smells so nice.

I love it when it rains. The atmostphere is just so... So... So... fantastic.

I love it when it rains. We get thunder and lightning storms like you wouldn't believe, so powerful!

I hate it when it rains. The lightning causes us to have brownouts or power outages that can last for hours.

So do I love rain or hate rain? [Dont Know]

Yeah, I love rain. [Big Grin]
