But if you want to mark it as a quote like this: quote: just wondering is there any way to quote from other posts besides just writing what they said? Then put a <quote> tag before it and a </quote> tag after it, but use [ ] instead of < >.

Also, you can let click copy it and then go down and hit the quote button at the bottom of the post screen. That puts the quote tags up, adn you paste it inbetween the quote tags so that it appears as marked quote: like this. There are also buttons down there for bold, italics, and to put a link or an e-mail in the message, and to create a list, complete with list start list item and list end
