A sign caught my eye as I turned into a Walgreens parking lot yesterday. This Walgreen's is located on the corner of a Very Busy intersection. Routinely along the way there are the standard No Parking Any Time signs. However this sign was Different. It was embedded in the concrete on the edge of the sidewalk like any other city sign so it had to be municipally approved.

It in bright Red letters it read:
quote:
Don't Even THINK of Parking Here
I guess the sad thing is, that someone probably did park there before they changed the sign!

Can I get one of those for in front of my house? The guy across the street insists on parking his crapmobile in front of our house every night.

[Big Grin] I like that quite a bit.

As I was driving in to work this morning, I saw a construction working with a huge lit blowtorch. The thing probably had a mouth that was probably a good four inches across. I started thinking about how earlier societies would incorporate artwork into the design of their tools, probably because they were hand fashioned, so a single individual was spending a lot more time with the thing they were making, and the artistic ideas that naturally came to mind had time to be implemented. Anyway, it would be cool to have one of those that was worked up so that its body was the twining shape of a serpent, with the nozzle as its head.

Yes, I know, the tangent by which this is related to your topic is almost ridiculously tenuous.

lol.

At a restaurant in Gainesville they have a sign by the carry out parking spots that say. "Carry out only. All others will be crushed and melted."

At a store down the street from the college here, there are 6 parking spaces. all of them have the same sign in front of them:

CUSTOMER PARKING ONLY, ALL OTHERS WILL BE TOWED. YES, THAT INCLUDES COLLEGE STUDENTS. WE DON'T CARE ABOUT THE LACK OF PARKING ON CAMPUS.

I always laugh when I see them.
