I'm sorry. I love shrimp too. At 5 I ate almost a pound of shrimp by myself when no one was watching. It was at a family reunion. They were shocked, but I was just happy. [Smile]

In Florida, there are roadside shrimp stands where people sell shrimp they caught that day in the St. John's River. [Smile]

Five years ago, I visited Bahia (another Brazilian State) on vacations. Man...their shrimps...hmmm...delicious! And cheap too! I remember a plate full of them costing, like...6 Reais. That would be $2,00, give or take.

Actually, IHOP is running their "Never Ending Shrimp Platter" again.

Although they don't have Red Lobster's most excellent biscuits. [Big Grin]

Ivygirl had IHOP's all-you-can-eat shrimp basket on Sunday. (no, there are no pancakes with it -- just french fries). She loves shrimp. (I don't).

I have Red Lobster's cheese biscuit recipe, though! *smirk*

We don't have Red Lobster's recipe, but we made our own and actually like it even better.

I like all you can eat shrimp, but what I really used to enjoy at Red Lobster was all you can eat snow crab.

breyerchic -- I will have to look it up at home.

Where I used to work -- my manager there had formally been a manager at Red Lobster, so he would make those biscuits at home all the time and bring them to work for us to eat! Ymmmmmm

You know, I think Ben is one of my favorite posters. I do hope, though, that that doesn't cause his head to swell to gargantuan proportions, causing dogs, small children, and light to be unable to escape its gravity well.

I too have my own version of the Red Lobster rolls:

Simply make biscuits according to your regular recipe, but mix into the batter most of a package of cheese from a box of Kraft Mild White Cheddar Mac & Cheese. Five to ten minutes before the biscuits are done, brush the tops with butter and dust with a little bit more cheese powder. MMMmmmm. [Smile]

Pillsbury also sells a cheese biscuit product in the freezer section of the grocery store, but theirs uses regular cheddar instead of white cheddar, and mine is better! [Razz]

What happens to all the macaroni, though? Does it just end up being sad that it didn't get to become macaroni and cheese?

If you really feel badly for it (bearing in mind that it costs like $0.50 a box) you can serve it with tomato sauce, or toss it with butter and parmesan cheese. [Smile]

It still doesn't get to become macaroni and cheese, though. It would end its existance feeling unfulfilled, knowing that it had a chance to become something great but failed to live up to its potential. Man, that's such a downer.

The pasta in most mac and cheese boxed mixes is so pathetic in taste, so lackluster in texture, that anyone who dumps the pasta into the trash compactor would be doing the pasta a favor by putting an end to its miserable existence.

You can't make a satisfactory substitute for Red Lobster cheese biscuits without the garlic, though.
