My coffee shop sells random stuff, too, and had some games for sale. Apparently they didn't do too well, 'cause now they're all on the clearance shelf. There were two I was thinking of buying, and I was wondering if anyone had played them.
First was Cranium Hoopla, which I'll probably get just 'cause I like Cranium so much. The other one I'm sure I'm not going to spell correctly, 'cause I've tried to do a google search on it and haven't come up with it. I believe it was Kuuput or Kuupuk or something similar. I'm sure about the Kuupu part, just not sure what comes afterwards. Anyone know what it is?
On a semi-related note, I was out today wearing my KamaCon shirt, and a guy came up to me and said "Excuse me, is that a Con shirt?" I started to answer "Yes, but..." and he interrupted and said "Yeah, I know it's not from (couldn't understand) but I just got back from a big game Con and I'm just really excited about it." He said a couple more sentences about his Con experience, didn't give me a chance to get a word in edgewise even if I'd wanted to, and then took a couple steps backwards, turned away and left. Surreal.

He didn't look like your sterotypical gamer geek. Besides, don't you think he talked to someone at his Con?

Actually, my first thought was that it was going to be a hitherto unknown Minnesota Hatrack lurker who recognized the shirt. Which would have been weird, but cool. I think it's sad that Abby and I are all alone here. *sniff*
But what about the games, people???

Thanks Christy! I actually went back today and bought Hoopla, and checked the spelling of Kuuduk. But this way I didn't have to find the review.
I'll probably pick it up, too, since it sounds kinda fun and is only four bucks.
I was slightly dismayed, however, to discover that Hoopla is a cooperative game, not a competitive one. How am I supposed to beat people in it, then? Kidding, kinda... it still looks like fun. Who wants to come play with me???

ElJay...you can just cooperate right up to the end where you take everyone's cards (or lay down all of yours as the case may be) and win it all.
And I'm not even going to point out the "out of context" thread fodder if you're going to make it THAT easy!
Sheesh, at least make it POSSIBLE for someone to miss it!
