Well, I'm just about finished with the paperwork to cancel my life insurance and put that thousand bucks into an IRA that will bring me fame and fortune when I get into my 60's.

*puts on stamp*

There! Done...

By the looks of things, if I can keep puting in the right amount of money into the account, I should have a million bucks in 30 or 40 years!

Whooo hooo!

My Dad suggested it. He's gotten a part time job on the side with Primerica and said that since I'm young and at a low risk for dying anytime soon that it would be better to put that money into this Roth IRA. Seems cool to me. I'll set up a life insurance policy again later.

I have a feeling that I'll have sucky jobs for the rest of my life with no pension (not that the pension system is going to be around much longer anyway) or retirment, so this IRA is the best course.

It feels kinda cool... so .... ADULT! *gasp*

Yeah, 12% interest WOULD be nice. But we have a Republican in office. *wry laugh*

Roth IRA's are good to start. I don't know if it makes a lot of sense to convert traditional IRA's to Roth, which is what was hoped for at the time they were invented.
