I think a conference call, if at all doable, is simply a must, neh?
Potential complications that need to be worked around:
Time-zones/schedules -- the Shinda is starting one-ish (PST) and the Utahns 3-ish, which may be after (many of) the Midwesterners disband.
The RenFairers will not be near a land-line -- do cell phones DO conference calls?
I can commit neither a land-line (since I'll be pretty far from mine ) or a cell phone (mine is pay as you go), so I can't make any of this happen myself. I just need to get some of y'all to commit your resources.

Well, even though we will be at dkw's house -- if she doesn't want to use her land-line, I would be happy to let everyone use my cell phone. I have lots and lots of long-distance minutes left.
However, I have no idea if I get a signal in that part of Iowa -- won't know until I get there...

I have unlimited minutes on my cellphone. No extra cost. So I was planning to let people use mine too, if it works. It's nextel.

I also have unlimited minutes on my cellphone. It sounds like even if you guys have already left we can join the conference call!

I have no idea. I'm so irritated by my phone I haven't figured out the call waiting yet.

Side note: I think that's in reaction to writing about technical things all day. It's like my personal life is this Luddite corner.

My baby sister works for Qwest and sets up conference calls all the time. Shall I ask her what it would cost to set up something where we all call in to a central number?
