I apologise in advance for a frivolous topic...
I have naturally dark hair. Very dark. About 3 shades off the darkest you can get.
And today....
I went blonde!!!!
[I should add: I'm also in the middle of exams, so I'm procrastinating. Along with cleaning the house, going to the hairdresser makes an excellent study avoidance technique... ]
I'm currently living interstate from my family, and am going home in just over a month - so I've decided not to tell anyone and just give people a suprise when I get off the plane.
But it's been 3 hours and already the suspense is killing me.. so lucky hatrackers, you get the news.
(Feel free to ignore this, or post as many as you like... I know it's not earth shattering... but hey, it's exciting for me )

Oh, and there is an addendum to this story. I had taken a book along, as I knew it would be a rather long process, and it was a fantasy book. The hairdresser and I got talking about authors we loved, and I mentioned OSC (of course ) to which she said 'Oh he's great - I love him.'
I was very impressed. I think I'll be going back solely on that basis!

I went red for about two years, but, like Mrs. M, gave it up when I got tired of the upkeep. It was great!

I have what they call "virgin" hair and I'm a natural blonde. I can't say if they have more fun or not, but I do know I can get away with a lot more.
For example, when reporting for my newspaper, some of my interview subjects tell me things that normal people would not tell journalists. I think it's because I'm blonde---they must think I'm dumb or something.

In high school the prettiest, most stuck up, dateing the sports star of the week, class president went green-haired, but she didn't mean too.

I've always wanted to put a violet streak in my hair. I bought a bottle a few years ago, and my sister used some of it in her hair for a concert.
I never did it, I don't think my stepdad would approve much.....when I was younger, he would be like, "I don't want you to make a mess!" Then, later, he would say "Your boss will fire you." And now he just says "you're too old for that teenager crap."
Maybe I should do it while he's away
That way it will be gone by the time I try to get a real job.

im naturaly blond but once i died my hair green for an anime con....my dad realy hated it even it you could only tell it was green when you took a light right up to it(it was realy freaking dark) so he coerced mom into putting some teporary blond die in my hair so "i would look decent for the intervewer" at the colleges i was aplying to. well as is what happens with most things i change against my will it majorly fscked up and i came out of it with bright orange hair. and amusingly enuph the interviewer liked it! P.S. i love telling this story to piss him off(even if he thinks i dont notice how pissed he gets) and now i thank you for listening to my little story
