a long time ago i picked up a game named homeworld. and so great a game it was that i played it for several years untill i found a seqil named cataclism and then homeworld 2
well they are 3D-RTS games that have you fighting in space under varius condisions commanding your fleat in truely 3 dimentions(4 if you cound time but i know you dont) well anyway the local modder(who live god knows where) have taken the idea of making a enders game total conversion but it would be realy helpfull if we had maybe a scetch even of what any of the ships look like(which is where you guys come in) it would most likely be greatly apriciated if some of you could come up with some designes for ships and post them in the relic forums here:
http://forums.relicnews.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=72
note that i request this without cunsulting them. heck i'll probably post something as soon as i finish this post and send it i'll and i just ask for a few scetches for idea's sake (make the rant stop dady) and so my inner child becons for me to resume the modding the the game i so love with such limited knowledge od the code that makes it work.

adue

I played homeworld before I read "Ender's Game" and I must agree with you. I started playing HW in the winter of 99' and read the book soon after. From now on, the soundtrack of that game is linked to the book in my mind.

I believe that highly placed sources within the Card family (cough *Geoff* cough) have mentioned trying to learn lessons from Homeworld and apply them to an eventual Ender's Game game representing simulator play...

I read EG first and, on playing Homeworld, thought, "This is what Ender must have felt like."

homeworld is probably 100 times more complicated then CNC generals becuase you have to think in 3 dimentions you have to watch out for the rare ocasions when an enemy attacks from head on and then retreats while another strike force desends from above or even below heck they can even hyperspace right behinds your lines and kill you
unfortunatly they took out the one method i loved most when i was loosing
jump a battlecruser INSIDE the enemy Mother ship why most of their atention was focused on my attacks on their resorces
