My join date says Dec 2001, but it's actually closer to Dec. 2002-- when I first showed up in September or October of that year registration was closed, and I spent the next few months lurking. Anyway, someone realized that several lurkers had the same problem I did and offered up several alts. I took this one.
So who was that gracious person? I never found out.
