Let's see: a half decent game at best that has a huge focus on T&A, and they take it and make it into a movie. Nope, doesn't sound like a good idea to me. *waits to watch it flop*

I saw a trailer for it. Before Wallace & Gromit of all things. I take it as a bad sign that the trailer was not actually at theater 16:9 aspect ratio, but was like a TV spot played before the actual trailers along with the Coke ads and music video clips.
Of course, I also took it as a bad sign that the movie even exists in the first place.

In the words of Han, Luke, and pretty much everyone else in the original trilogy, "I've got a bad feeling about this".

I wouldn't go near anything even closely related to Uwe Boll. How does he get funding for all these terrible movies and why does he hate videogames so much?
I think he's doing it on purpose... he just has to be. There's no other explanation.

From my understanding, his funding comes from people who are taking advantage of a strange German tax loophole. From the way Uwe Boll talks, I don't think anyone has told him about this yet.

Here's the trailer. I'd never heard of it before seeing the trailer. Makes sense that it's based on a video game. Looks like the movie should be good just for the hilarity factor.
What I'm wondering is how did Ben Kingsley get involved in a movie like this?

It's a movie by Uwe Boll, a director so bad that his films can't even be MST3Ked enjoyably. What else do you need to know?

Well, I can bet it's not going to hold true to the spirit of the video-game. If it did, it would have to get an NC-17 rating at least. The video game is pretty much animated snuff porn.

I heard about it a long time ago. It hit my radar because my daughter's name is Rayne.
So I'm bummed they made this movie. People are going to think I named her after a game I wouldn't allow in my house. Not that it should matter, but it's sort of in the back of my mind. I just know it's going to come up.

...Udo Kier, hmm... Billy Zane, interesting... Michelle Rodriguez, hey!... Ben Kingsley, cool!...Video game adaption, oh... By Uwe Boll, never mind...
Addendum: just saw the trailer.
Oh, that poor narrator! It sounds like he's reading a Mad Lib!
"A [noun]. A [noun]. A [noun]. A [adjective] [noun]. A [noun]."

Don't worry. I doubt there will be enough people who have either played the game or seen the movie to ever make that connection.

I don't think I've ever been quite so unexcited by a trailer. It looks like a slightly more modernized, and even more sucky version of Red Sonja.
I was hoping that this would be a good video game movie - they're usually great fodder for action movies because you've got all the elements, usually - hot, scantily clad chicks, lots of fighting, action, things blowing up, stunts - you know, brainless escapist fun. I heard that Boll was attached to it, and I was hoping against hope that it wouldn't suck beyond description, but it looks like Boll's done - or rather, not done - it again.
Something should be done to stop this man from making more movies.
