I <3<3<3<3 My mother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I miss her too, she's about to pick me up so we can go to the swamp meet. I'll hug her many times when I see her. Come here and show us your appreciation for your mom, or if you're a mom, come here and be appreciated! Write a poem to her, discuss what you will do for her birthday or what you will give her for Christmas! Tell us what video game you will surprise her with if she plays video games, mine does.

Anyhoot, I'll explain about the 500 mins later, I have to go out with my mom now [Big Grin]

I love my mommy, too.

She didn't mind when I called her crying twenty minutes after she woke up this morning. She talked to me for an hour, calming me down and being reasonable but loving. And she is going straight out to buy me more prenatal vitamins on Monday with her employee discount because she knows I'm almost out. It's not much, but it makes me feel better that she's doing something like that for me. Especially because I just can't talk to the rest of my family yet; she understood about having mixed feelings like no one else in my family will.

And did you know, she says she still calls her mommy when she's upset? [Smile]

My mom is the best.

She lives 90km away (about 55 miles I think) and still drives out every single week and sleeps over a couple of days to help with the kids. Now that's dedication! [Big Grin]

She used to still talk to her mom everyday too until her passing a few years ago.

Whoa. (((Miriya))) Sorry for the loss of your grandmother. I miss my granpa, but luckily I still have my grams.
I just arrived from where we went, and I can now fully explain what those 500 mins were all about. First of all, I run on T-Mobile prepaid, so I eventually run out of air time when I do not fill up my account regularly, and that was my situation this afternoon. I had no air time, but when my phone started ringing, I was like W00T!!! My Mum refilled my account. Now, she usually fills it up with just $25 dollar cards which gives me around 160 minutes, but now I have those gorgeous 500 mins. and when I listened to the robot at the other side telling me this, I almost flipped. I love my mother, very much. Yeah, w00t for all mothers, young, old and to be!!

That reminds me of what my parents did for me when I was in school. Through AT&T or some other company they set up a 1-800 number that they gave me as a present. I could call that number anytime, day or night, and the phone call would be routed to my parents' house, and so would all the bills for it. It was a great idea.

My mom was addicted to phone cards...still is, actually. [Big Grin]

I love my mom, for so many reasons that I will not even try to mention them here.

She knows, I tell her all the time. [Big Grin]

No worries AoD. My grandmother, were she still living, would be over 100. When I mentioned her I was just thinking of what a blessing it was to come from a line of very connected loving women.

Good moms are a very special group of people. I like this thread.

You tell my mom you love her all the time too?

Why? Not that she doesn't deserve it, but . . .

My Ma is super terrific (even if she never takes me to the swamp like your mom does, Alt). She came by my house to help "organize". I live in a terrific house with, like, next to NO closets. So it is hard to have everything "away" -- there is no "away". Then she took me to Ikea to pick up chests and armoires and storage units of all types. And came back and helped me assemble them. For no reason, except that she thought I needed help being organized. At the Ikea checkout, when I was fishing for my credit card, Ma said, "Put that away -- it's on me!" Generous, in all ways, is Ma.

I didn't really want to go to the swamp, anyway. Mosquitoes, don't you know.
