Amarillo is very windy. I got almost knocked over by a gust when we stopped in on our honeymoon just walking from the door of our room to the car 15 feet away. Luckily, my new husband was there to catch me.
One of the nicest wards we've ever visited was in Amarillo.

I’m really trying to figure out this video. I guess the troops are just having fun, but is there some sort of significance or symbolism they’re doing? Or is it just pure silly? I just have the feeling I’m missing something…..

When we were attended Stake Conference in Amarillo (a stake is comprised of maybe half a dozen congregations) in October one, we got hit by a big blizzard and got stranded there.
When I was a teen, we'd go to Amarillo on Saturdays because they had a decent comic book/gaming shop. I'd drool over the I.C.E. books I wanted to buy. We'd buy 8 $0.49 hamburgers to eat and check out the army/navy surplus stores while we were there.

I am guessing they're just trying to have some fun spoofing the UK video mentioned on that page you linked. They are UK troops. British humour, you know.
