I have an article that was on the net for a day or two and has now been yanked. I thought that there was the possiblility the article could go away so I copied it. I would like to post it here in its entirety but I want to make sure I'm not crossing the line. What is the policy concerning articles that are no longer available to link?

They are fairly careful about copyright here...so unless you have permission from the owner of the copyright, I'd not post it.

It appears that I was a bit hasty in my assertion that the article was no longer available. Here is the link. I've been following the saga generated by the SCO group and their litigation of IBM and, by proxy, Linux. I check Groklaw daily to keep up with the latest news. Groklaw was the brainchild of Pamela Jones. PJ, as she is affectionately known, has been cautious with her anonymity and the linked article was penned by a Ms Maureen O'Gara and it is the most vile example of ad hominem journalism I have ever had the displeasure of reading.
Today, apparently Ms. O'Gara was dropped as a by-line author ty the parent company of LinuxGram. I applaud James Turner of Linux World magazine for taking a stand against the ridiculous article that appeared in LinuxGram.

Hmm. I thought I posted in this thread a while ago, but I don't see it. Maybe I just changed my mind. Or maybe I'm crazy.

Please don't link to MoG's trash directly, it gives her hits which boost her ability to advertise, and her drivel is not deserving of support. I suggest finding one of the google cache links that were posted on slashdot and substituting that.
Also, the company that dropped MoG is not a parent company of LinuxGram afaik. The parent company of LinuxGram is G2, which MoG is a partial owner of, hence why she still writes and edits for LinuxGram. The company that has stopped carrying her stories is a different company, Sys-Con, the parent company of LinuxWorld (which was particularly frustrated at her stories appearing on their site, and the editors of the print verison of which issued an ultimatum to the publishers: MoG goes or they go).
