I believe we are all fans of the Simpsons. During one episode, if I remember correctly, Homer seeks a newer, far cooler name for himself, and he chooses "Max Power" as his new title.

My friends and I were sitting around trying to think up incredibly awesome names for people, too. I think it started out just trying to sound cool, and then naming the stars of crappy actions flicks or wrestlers, and then the stars of crappy pornographies? But it was still incredibly entertaining. As it turned out, I had given myself a Max Power long ago, having once dubbed myself

Buffs McMuscles

This was the start of the avalanche. Here are some more examples, so you can see what the blueprint is to help you get started! I make naming FUN!!

Ford O'Brawny

Slate Absen

Nitro O'splosive

Sloane Sabot

Those were all the moderately serious ones (if you could ever claim such a thing). There were other, less serious ones such as "Caesar O'Tyrant," "Caliber O'Grady," and the infamous "Phallus Van Horne" [Frown] . We also threw Ted Danson and Gene Shallit in there just for fun. It's a fun game, and once you get started, you really can't stop.

The name I'm thinking of today is Les O'Peelin than the name I was thinking about Yesterday. Since the name I was thinking about yesterday is Moe Tractive than the name I'm thinking about today I'll go with yesterday's name. I dub me ...

Come on, get on topic and those of you with wit think up some names so I can "borrow" them and pass them off as my own in conversation.

That's actually the name of our kicker here at UT. He's one of the four players I know. All on account of his name. If he switched the "g" and the "n" around it would be at least six times cooler.

There are three ways of doing things in this house, the right way, the wrong way, and the Max Power way!

Isn't that the wrong way?

Yes, but faster and with more explosions.

Actually, I despise the Simpsons. I used to love it. For years, I was a huge fan. They had me, and then they lost me. And when they lost me, they lost me completely.

Anyway. Cool names. I'm something of an aspiring writer, and I've considered writing under the pseudonym "Roman Borders". I like it, but I've long since lost the ability to distinguish between cool and dorky.
