She'll be really angry with me for posting this, but I'd just like to take this opportunity to acknowledge how much Jamie enriches our lives here. I love her photos. I read a book of hers and was very moved.
It has been a pleasure to get to know you through those 10,000 posts, Jamie and I really enjoyed meeting you in person at KamaCon.

You know what the thing is? In real life, Mack gives great hugs. And she does not flip anyone off. Ironic, that.

And rivka is right...I DO flip people off in person, though it does tend to lean towards the subtle and not blatant.

I bet she would flip me off in real life if I said, "Oh, Naaaaathan, there is a paper plate in the river."

flipping someone off is a perfectly acceptable form of communication. in polite dinner conversation, it's pretty much a requirement.

Maybe you were already feeling ill at the picnic, Mack, and that is why I could got away with it. Or maybe you were giving me a break, just having met me. Or still in awe of my special musical skill. Anyway, I lucked out, apparently, or did not luck out. (is that lucking in?)
