*dies of excitement*

Somehow, SOMEHOW I managed to get ahold of decent seats to the Elton John Concert at Wembley Arena in London for July 3rd....

I am SO EXCITED!!

[Party]

My dad won't stop teasing me about it, he saw him in Washington DC in 1976 (78?) during his Yellow Brick Road tour...I told him he probably missed some really good songs, hah.

Anyway, just thought I'd share. Anyone else going to fun summer concerts?

Dagonee is jealous of Kasie.

Congratulations - Elton at Wembley should be amazing.

No concert plans for me, though. Too much to do already.

Have Fun!

Dagonee

Congrats. It will be a good show.

I saw Elton John in concert way back in October 1975 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, during the Rock of the Westies tour. Fabulous show. Elton for two hours, just him and the piano and then, after a break, with full band, backup singers and choir for an additional two plus hours. Not to mention two opening acts, Joe Walsh and Emmylou Harris, who each played full concert sets as opposed to opening act sets.

The thing that made the show so special was that it was the last show on the tour, and he was apparently considering not touring anymore (we know that didn't happen [Smile] ), so it was probably as full-out a performance as he has ever given. To show what a special show it was considered to be, even at the time, he even got Bernie Taupin out on stage to take a bow, which I understand isn't a usual occurrence. An additional cool thing is that a few years ago I saw an interview on tv with Elton and they asked him which were his own favorites of his live performances, and he named off about five shows, including the one I attended. Pretty darn cool.

Dagonee speaks of himself in the third person. This puzzles Katie.
