According to this article, the Bush admin used hired actors to create 'news reports' on the new Medicare law which are tantamount to campaign advertisements, and sent them to stations to be run as part of the regular lineup.
Suffice it to say, if true, that this seriously troubles me.

I'd wait until a major newspaper breaks this before I'd believe it. I'm not sure how reliable the Scotsman is...
