A new Hatrack Pastime is upon us: tonight, nearly 12 Jatraqueros swarmed the SCRABBLE rooms over at http://www.games.com - With no additional software downloads needed, and 4 people able to play at once, and with multiple rooms and waiting rooms where nonplayers can observe and chat - what else could you want? Join us, one and all!
Come into the AIM Hatrack chat to see whos in, and who's willing to play.
So register, and then head into the Consonant Creek lobby, and look for a table with some familiar Jatraquero names.

And we're talking about the Scrabble on the left, "traditional games" side of the Games.com main page.

I think I may have read it somewhere . . . is it related to rock climbing? However, I'd think of avail or vale first, both of which are definitely words.

Most of the words you used, Fugu, I'd consider pretty obsolete in and of themselves. "Qua"?! I mean seriously. Who, besides Beckett, uses "Qua"?

And I had a hard time registering, too. It kept giving me some error at the end, but apparently, it still registered me.

It was supposed to be Jon Boy's day, but he didn't get it done last night. Then, when we both got home from class, he said he was having a mental block. I offered to do it for him.
Besides, it's up now! Rejoice and make merry.

That might mean the name you picked has been taken, or you might have gotten registered without realizing it (like me).

Somehow I don't think Scooby1983 will be dropping in on Hatrack. He must think it's some kind of quitter's support group.

And between Scrabble games, there's Boggle! Each round is only three minutes, so you can fit one in almost anytime.

Just this past December, blowzier was officially played for 329 (the L was a blank, if I recall correctly).
There are some folks at scrabble blitz (also on games.com) who try for oxyphenbutazone (there are a couple of other 15-letter words that are pretty easy to set up) and actually succeed frequently enough to be very annoying.
