From SftD: who would choose tight pants over loose ones? Or is it a joke, that Ender didnt want to wear the (Marcao) pants in this family... I always wondered. What do you think ?

I didn't really see it a joke, I saw it as Ender being cautious: wearing Marcao's pants might have be seen as horribly intrusive/presumptuous/insulting by Novinha -- it was much better to accept the pants of the boy; no bad connotations there.

Pretty sure Ender does wear Marcao's pants. Am I missing something here in the context.

It's text, not context, Rodger -- the oldest boy (whose name I'm currently forgetting) offers to Ender either his own or Marcao's pant to replace the pants that Grego soaked in urine.
Ender says "Your pants", namely the boy's not Marcao's.

Sorry, the last experience with Speaker for the Dead I had was the comic series going on now. I went back and read that Ender did in fact take Miro's pants but in the comic Ender takes Marcao's pants. Interesting oversight or change whichever the case may be.
