Okay I rarely (if ever) post on these forums, but I just reread Alvin Journeyman for the first time in 10 years and I thought this was hilarious. Sorry if it's been mentioned a million times, but the song Alvin made up in prison contains an extremely clever Lord of the Rings reference:
"Alone in my imagining I dreamt the darkest dream, Of tiny men, a spider's sting, And in a land of smoke and steam An evil golden ring."
This is why I love OSC's books. Has anyone else seen this?

Yup. If you do a search, you'll find many people coming here asking if anybody else has ever seen this.

Well, I guess I was wrong then.
(Yeah, the search feature here isn't that great.)

Also, it seems to me that really old post disappear after awhile. For example, when I click on the feature that allows me to see all my posts, they definitely don't go back all the way to when I first joined Hatrack.

At the moment posts made back in 2003 are slowly dying on the 78th page. Apparently thread life expectancy is about 5 years on this side.
