They make me write them before they'll print them.

Just give her a blank book now with an I owe you inside.

Then she could write her own version until the actual book is released.
That should ease her suffering a little.

I never start a series until they are all out, I can't stand the waiting between books. Alvin was an exception.

Maybe one day they will invent book-forgetting pills, so you can go back and unread the speaker trilogy after realizing there was more.

Heh, actually its been so long, I have forgotten most of it anyways. My wife wants to break into it to, so I might be doing some book shopping.

How do you know when they are all out? Sometimes an author decides later that they were not finished with the series!

I also am really anticipating the wives of Israel series. I love Card's take on the biblical stories. I must say his rendering of Jacob and his explanation for it at the end of the book really helped me see the Bible in a much stronger light, without feeling guilty that I didn't always understand how things could be the way it said. I never before understood how Jacob could possibly have been the "chosen one" when he was painted as such a vile little creature.
