Amazon is implying they have it in now, but that could simply be that they will ship it out within their acceptable time period (1-3 weeks, they say).

Then again, there have been books in the past where they've said that, and later updated with a delayed shipping time. [Dont Know]

Amazon told me, i'll get the Paperback between 3. and 5. April, and I always found them quite reliable. I keep my fingers crossed.

In the meantime, go buy the re-release of Treason released last month and bask in classic OSC.

I was told it would be out in March.

Yes, end of march.

By the way, rivka, your name/pseudonym: everytime I read "rivka", I'm racking my brain whether it is the name of a character in a book, too. I mean, I'm pretty sure it is, but I just can't tell WHICH character (or book), and it just drives me crazy. Help me!

I think it's her first name [Smile]

Probably. But which character got that name, too? It's on the tip of my tongue,... aaargh!!! [Wall Bash]

Rivka is the original Hebrew of Rebbecca.

And yes, it is my first name. [Smile]

Thanks, Rivka. (Lucky you!)
It does not yet answer my question, but since it's Hebrew, it might possibly be the name of one of the people (a minor character)of Trachimbrod in "Everything is illuminated". I'll check that.

If you don't want to wait to read it, you could always get the hardcover at a library and buy the paperback when it comes out. [Smile]

you've never bought yourself any books? well, get ready to be addicted. i can't go into a bookstore and not walk out with a huge stack. usually about half OSC. i just got a library card and almost passed out when i saw all of the free OSC books they had. good lord its better than drugs. i get paid this friday and plan on purchasing the Ultimate Iron Man Series and Legends I and II. and maybe Treason and Harts Hope, i haven't read those yet.

In a perfect world, all books would come out in hardcover and paperback at the same time. I know the pain of having to wait around 10-12 months just to save some cash... Although in this case I have a hardcover copy. [Smile]

I normally get a book from the library and read it to see if i like it or not. If I do like it I remember author and title<in most cases> and hope that one day i remember to buy it.....not that that happens. I tend to forget most of the books i want. Plus i am REALLY picky on my books. paper back only....and i really only like a few authors. namely OSC, Dean Koontz, And Carolyn Goodman. Well except the addiction to the Boxcar Children i have had since i was little lol. I have close to a hundred of those lol. I mean if i am bored enough and cant get to the library i will read whatever is around but i dont enjoy it as much as i do when i set down with a good book and just space off into the story for however many hours allotted or until i have to go to the bathroom (not that that really stops me i just get up and walk to the bathroom while still reading the book). It is a good thing i was born female otherwise i would have to peer over the book to make sure i am aiming at the right place lol. [ROFL] Anyways i have a lot of bills right now and i never really have any money to spend on my self, but since i got the second job i now have a little money i can spend and believe me im going to be buying a rather lot of books. I got a tip today from the owner of the restraunt i work at today since we all worked on valentines day and we were swamped he gave us each like 15 bucks so i went out and bought Shadow Puppets. With my next check the bookstore has a 3 book boxed set of EG, ES, and SotH for $23 i am gonna get lol.

oh and believe me i am already addicted to reading and shoping it isnt going to take me long to shop for reading materials lol

I always check the second-hand paperback section at amazon.com. I prefer paperbacks in any case, and the 18 or 20 books I bought by now were all in a very good condition when I got them, although second-hand.

In my case, that's the only way I can think of if I want to read all the books I want to without going bankrupt. [Smile] Especially regarding the OSC- books. There's only "Ender's Shadow"(the reason for my addiction) in the public library in Freiburg... Well, even if I found ALL of his series in the library, I would buy them nevertheless.
The same applies to the "Voyager"-series by Diana Gabaldon, the "Harry Potter"- books and the novels by John Irving... and every other book that I would like to read more than once and/or in English.
