forgive me if a post of this nature has already been created, but i was just wondering if OSC has ever seen the movie "Garden State", or watched the show "scrubs", and what he thinks about those two, as well as Zach Braff in general (i have tried lookiung through his reviews, and can't find anything)
if he hasn't seen it (Garden State) i would HIGHLY recommend it, it is an incredible movie with some of the most truthful acting i have ever seen onscreen

Because it doesn't seem to be his type of movie? It seemed slightly Lost in Translationish (to me, at least).
OSC didn't really care for Lost in Translation.

People tend to like it because of it's obscure parts. It is one of those movies that dares people not to like it. "You cannot be a true lover of film if you don't like this one."...kind of thing. Well it atleast has that kind of vibe I have gotten from people when it is brought up.
With NP's charecter in the film. When she first shows up I was like 'ohh she is playing that type of charecter' this movie is going to be SOO annoying..(or atleast her) but then it got toned down. I myslef really liked the movie in the end. I was quite supprised.

its funny you should say its similar to Lost in Translation, because i hated that movie. i was so bored the whole way through, because there really was no point to it. garden state does have a point, the acting is better, the script more realistic, and the characters more sincere (in my opinion)
has he seen it? does anyone even know? what about scrubs?

yeah i know, there were "points", i guess the movie just didnt do it for me. i was wrong to say that there were not points to the movie, its just that i didnt think they were interesting enough to keep me from getting bored during the movie. i appreciated the insight into these two ppls lives, and the things we learned from them, but i dont think it was entertaining as a movie

I rather liked Garden State myself and was extremly dissapointed with Lost in Translation.
Of course, I went into Lost in Translation expecting to love it and went into Garden State expecting to hate it.
Either way, I felt like the movies were somewhat similar.

Haven't seen Lost in Translation but don't realy have an interest.
Loved Garden State, I think mainly because it was refreshing to watch a movie that paid attention to detail.

Perhaps you are not yet old enough to "get" Lost in Translation. It's really a movie for middle-aged people. Me, I thought Garden State was just this side of gratingly twee; the slovenly friend thing was terribly overdone, and films like Harold and Maude did all the other high points better.

i replied to a post about there being no point to LiT a little while ago.. so yeah, there was a point, or points, but i just didnt relate to them. i found them dull
