Chris Todd Miller participated in Literary Boot Camp in 2007. In September 2013, his self-published book, By Blood Bequeathed, received the Gold Quill award in Speculative Fiction from the League of Utah Writers. Miller says, "It was OSC and Bootcamp that first got me reading SciFi /Fantasy (Ender's Game and Enchantment). Had I not attended, my book would have never been written and I would not be working as a freelance editor in those same genres."
